A Saturday Morning Tradition – Ferguson Farmers Market Opens May 6th for 22nd Season Every Saturday (May-October) – 8:00am-12:00pm Plaza at 501, 501 S Florissant Rd.
Ferguson, MO – The Ferguson Farmers Market is excited to announce it will open for its 22nd season on May 6th, located at 501 S Florissant Rd, Ferguson MO 63135. The Ferguson Farmers Market will be open every Saturday from May – October from 8:00am-12:00pm. This year, the market will be managed and operated by the City of Ferguson and the Ferguson Parks & Recreation Department.
“We’re excited to bring the management of the Ferguson Farmers’ Market back in-house.” said David Musgrave, Director of Parks & Recreation. “The market is more than just about bringing healthy, fresh produce to the community. It’s a Saturday morning tradition where the community can grab a coffee, chat with neighbors, make new connections, let their kids participate in fun activities, and enjoy a family-friendly, festive atmosphere.”
The Ferguson Parks & Recreation Department plans to put increased resources into the market to continue its growth and expand the market to a larger and more diverse community. “Our hope is to bring more people from all around St. Louis to check out our vibrant market; not only to increase the sales of our incredible farmers and artisans, but to give more people the opportunity to see and experience downtown Ferguson and all that the community has to offer.” said Joseph Seastrom, Superintendent of Parks & Recreation.
Summer Market Kickoff Events: Saturday, May 6th will host a variety of fun family-friendly activities to celebrate the Summer Market Kickoff. The first 50 shoppers will receive a free ‘Reusable Shopping Bag’ filled with special giveaways. The morning will also kick-off with a free Yoga class from 8:00am-8:45am. A large interactive and educational family experience area will include inflatables, balloon twisters, and caricatures.
The community can look forward to seeing locally produced products line the tables including fresh fruits and vegetables from returning long-time vendors as well as new vendors including Earth Dance Farms, Howie Farms, Hale Farms Co., and more.
